To be placed by The Katie Facey Agency, we require the following MINIMUM requirements:

 

  • You must be legal to work in the United States (proof of documentation is required)
     

  • FOR PROFESSIONAL CHILDCARE APPLICANTS: A minimum of 3 years of in-home nanny experience (may be full-time, part-time, summer, etc.) OR, a college degree in a applicable field and previous childcare experience in a related field. Or, a college degree and teaching certification/experience PLUS previous work in a child-related field (ex: Tutoring, summer camp counselor, athletic instructor, babysitting, etc.)
     

  • FOR DOMESTIC STAFFING POSITIONS: A minimum of 3 years of professional experience working in a private home or estate
     

  • Exceptional, verifiable references
     

  • A clean, criminal background record and driving history (an occasional speeding tickets is understandable as are any minor vehicle accidents or simple violations), Please contact us if you have any questions or wish to discuss your driving record and how that may impact potential placement.
     

  • Possess a valid Driver's License (exceptions made for Baby Nurse/Newborn Care Specialist candidates)
     

  • A minimum educational requirement of a high school diploma or GED
     

  • Be a non-smoker
     

  • Speak, read, understand and write fluent English (being bilingual is a huge plus!)
     

  • Willing to make a minimum of a one-year commitment to a position (unless you're hired in a seasonal role)
     

  • Possess a valid passport (or be willing to obtain one) 
     

  • Current CPR/First Aid Certified (if your certification has expired, you need to be recertified by the time you start work)

Should you meet our minimum placement requirements, as outlined above, we invite you to complete our process below to initiate your search for domestic employment:

2. At the end of the form, either attached your resume file to the form or submit a current resume or work history via e-mail (it doesn't have to be perfect or formal but a brief outline of your experience). In order to prevent any potential delay in processing your application, your resume or work history document MUST include your name, address, e-mail, telephone, previous employment positions including dates you worked in the position, position location, position description/duties performed, ages of children (if a childcare position) and reason for leaving each position.

3. Once we receive your information, our placement staff will review your submission and notify you within three business days if we're able to represent you in your search. If we are able to represent you, we will communicate the next steps with you at that time.
